Fixed IP for Whitelisting
A lot of you use strict firewalls or DDoS protection to keep your servers secure. This is great, but it usually makes monitoring tricky because our standard bots use rotating IPs, making it impossible to whitelist them properly.
This often meant you couldn't even add your server to our list because our initial connection was being blocked.
Use a Static IP instead
You can now choose to monitor your server via a dedicated static IP. If our system can't reach your server during the lookup process, it will automatically suggest switching to a fixed IP address.
All you need to do is add that specific IP to your firewall or DDoS protection whitelist.
How it works
The process is simple:
- If a connection error occurs during setup, we'll show you our permanent static IP.
- Add it to your whitelist.
- Check the "I added the IP to whitelist" box and retry.
This keeps your server secure while ensuring 100% uptime accuracy on our list.
